HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. — The Pratt Institute men's soccer suffered a 3-0 setback to Centenary University on Wednesday afternoon in a crucial Atlantic East Conference matchup between two teams fighting for a playoff spot.
The Cyclones (5-9-2, 1-2-1) took an early lead in the sixth minute on a Kevin Lopez golazo that stood to be the lone goal of the first half. He struck again early in the second stanza for a 2-0 lead with the hosts tacking on another insurance goal in the 77th minute.
Centenary outshot Pratt 21-6 and held a 6-3 edge in corners. Omri Hadad and Bryan Hong-Dominguez accounted for two shots each. Carter Tillman made eight saves while going the distance in net.
Pratt drops to sixth place with the loss but still remains in the playoff hunt with one game remaining on their schedule. The Cannoneers host Marywood University and celebrate Senior Night on Saturday, October 26 with a 5:30 p.m. kickoff at Aviator Field.
