BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The Pratt Institute men's volleyball team picked up their first win of the season and the first under Head Coach Alexander Moule with a straight-set triumph over York College, 25-10, 25-16, 25-14, on Thursday evening at the Activities Resource Center.
Jason Raymond led all attackers with nine kills on a .500 hitting night to go along with four aces and a solo block. Max Wang and Wallace Hallot each contributed four kills and an ace. Joji Kawamura chipped in three kills and had team-highs of seven aces and six digs. Devaun Longley added two kills. Brooks Reid directed the offense with 17 assists and four aces.
Pratt (1-1) dominated from the service line serving up 18 aces as a team with six different players serving one ace. The Cannoneers remained in control from the start and only trailed briefly at the start of the third set.
David Heyliger Jr. led York (0-1) with six kills and six digs. Alexis Ramirez added two kills.
Pratt travels to Manhattan to face City College of New York on Monday, February 5 with first serve set for 7 p.m.
