MADISON, N.J. — The Pratt Insitute men's volleyball team fell in straight sets to Drew University on Thursday evening, 3-0 (25-11, 25-15, 25-21).
Jason Raymond paced Pratt with seven kills and four digs. Max Wang chipped in four kills and as many aces, also bringing up five digs. Brooks Reid directed the offense with 12 assists and finished with a double-double with 13 digs.
Devaun Longley and Michael Litolff contributed a kill each and combined for a block.
The Cannoneers had their best showing in the third set and after falling behind by as many as six, 15-9, the black-and-gold ran off six straight points powered by a pair of aces by Wang and a pair of kills by Raymond to tie the frame at 15-all. Pratt remained step for step with the Rangers and after two more ties at 19-all and 20-all, Drew slipped away winning the final five of the last six points of the match.
Jacob Sledz led Drew (6-9) with eight kills and Casey Connolly added seven kills as nine different players combined for 32 kills and hit .286 as a team.
Pratt returns home to the ARC on Sunday, February 18 to host University of Mount Saint Vincent and The King's College (PA) in a tri-match starting at 11 a.m.
