DELHI, N.Y. — Jaden Young, Patrick O'Gorman and Cameron Windt combined for 62 points but the Pratt Institute men's basketball team fell to SUNY Delhi, 83-70, on Sunday afternoon.
Young led all scorers with 22 points, one shy of his career-high, on 9-of-16 shooting, with four three-pointers, two rebounds and two steals. O'Gorman added 21 points on 7-of-19 shooting with two triples, four rebounds, three assists and two thefts. Windt netted 19 points, also on 7-of-19 shooting with two treys, two boards, an assists and a steal. Seth Bratcher secured a game-high 14 rebounds and dished out a team-high five dimes, both career highs.
Windt scored the first six points of the game for an early 6-0 lead, but a back-and-forth first half saw five lead changes and three ties. Pratt fell behind by as many as five, 23-18, before responding with a 9-2 run to move back on top, 29-25, with 3:42 before the intermission. But the Broncos would close out the half on a 16-3 spurt and took a 41-32 lead into the lockers.
The hosts widened their lead early in the second with a 16-3 spurt that built a 20-point advantage. The black-and-gold assembled a 9-0 run later in the frame to pull within 11 but couldn't get the deficit back down to single digits.
Pablo Quinones led Delhi with 19 points and eight rebounds. Lester McCarthy added 14 points as four Broncos finished in double-figure scoring. Delhi outshot Pratt 41 percent (31-of-75) to 36 percent (25-of-69) and connected on 14 made three-pointers to eight.
Pratt plays the fourth of their five-game road stand traveling to Purchase, N.Y. to face Manhattanville College on Thursday, February 8 at 7 p.m.
