BRONX, N.Y. — The Pratt Institute women's tennis team took a 9-0 victory over future Atlantic East Conference rivals Marywood University on Sunday afternoon improving to 8-0 on the season.
Pallavi Verghese and Beatrice Crespo were both victorious at No. 1 and No. 2 singles without dropping a game, 8-0, and teamed up for an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles.
Ariana Castro and Nastazja Cancellaro each won their singles matches in the No. 4 and No. 5 positions by an 8-1 margin. Srishti Agarwal and Alice Li both collected 8-4 triumphs at No. 3 and No. 6 singles.
Castro and Agarwal teamed up for an 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles while Cancellaro paired with Victoria Delgado for an 8-3 win in the No. 3 spot.
Pratt returns to the courts on Sunday, April 7 squaring off with Baruch College at the USTA National Tennis Center starting at 1:30 p.m.
