BRONX, N.Y. — The Pratt Institute men's tennis team bounced back from their first loss of the season with a dominant 9-0 triumph over future Atlantic East Conference rivals Marywood University on Sunday afternoon.
The Cannoneers (3-1) won four singles matches at love with Mikah Liu, Mehul Bhargava, Ryan Nelse, and Caleb Callahan winning 8-0 at the No. 1, No. 2, No. 4, and No. 6 matches. Eagle Zhang collected an 8-2 win at No. 3 singles, while Calder Tillinghast defeated his opponent in the No. 5 position, 8-5.
In the doubles session, Tillinghast and Callahan teamed up for an 8-0 win at No. 3. Liu and Zhang teamed up for an 8-2 triumph at the No. 1 spot while Bhargava and Nelsen won by the same margin at No. 2.
Pratt travels east to face St. Joseph's (Long Island) on Friday, March 29 in a road match starting at 5 p.m.
