FARMINGDALE, N.Y. — The Pratt Institute men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Farmingdale State College on the road on Wednesday evening.
Eagle Zhang battled back after dropping his opening set in his No. 3 singles match to force a third-set supertiebreaker before falling 6-0, 3-6, 1-0 (10-6) in the only match to go the distance.
Mehul Bhargava forced a tiebreaker in the opening set of his No. 2 single match but fell in straight sets, 7-6 (4), 6-0. Bhargava and Ryan Nelsen produced the closest match of the doubles session in the No. 2 position, 8-5.
Farmingdale State improved to 10-0 with the win.
Pratt (5-3) tries to snap a two-match skid facing John Jay College tomorrow evening at 8 p.m. at the Sporttime Tennis Center.
