NEW YORK — The Pratt Institute men's tennis team snapped a two-game skid with a 7-2 road win over John Jay College on Thursday evening at the Sportime Tennis Center on Randall's Island.
Pratt (6-3) led 2-1 after doubles with Ryan Nelsen and Calder Tillinghast teaming up for an 8-3 win in the No. 2 position and Caleb Callahan and Shrenik Mahaveer winning at love, 8-0, in the No. 3 spot.
Callahan also won at love, 8-0, in the singles session at No. 6 and Eagle Zhang and Nelsen both collected 8-1 victories at No. 3 and No. 4 respectively. Mikah Liu scored an 8-2 triumph in the No. 2 spot and Tillinghast collected an 8-3 win in the No. 5 spot.
Pratt has a short layoff before returning to the court on Saturday, April 20 for a match against an opponent to be named later.
