FLUSHING, N.Y. — The Pratt Insitute men's tennis team celebrated their three seniors but suffered a 9-0 defeat to Manhattanville University on Saturday afternoon at the USTA National Tennis Center.
Pratt (6-4) honored seniors Mehul Bhargava, Ryan Nelsen, and Thomas Klebe prior to the match. Bhargava teamed up with Mikah Liu in the lead doubles match falling 8-3 while Nelsen and Calder Tillinghast fell 8-4 in the No. 2 position.
Nelsen secured the best result of the singles session in an 8-4 loss at No. 3 singles. Bhargava led the lineup and fell 8-1 in the No. 1 match.
The Cannoneers return to the courts tomorrow, April 21 to face the United States Merchant Marine Academy in a road match starting at 1 p.m.
