MAHWAH, N.J. — The Pratt Institute women's soccer team suffered their first loss of the season in a 3-0 setback to Ramapo College in a non-conference match on Monday evening.
The Roadrunners (1-1) sped out to a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute on a breakaway by Amber Maher and she doubled the lead with another tally in the 20th minute. Alexandra Donnellan's goal in the 32nd minute Ramapo a 3-0 lead and both teams played a stalemate through rest of regulation.
Pratt (1-1) was held to five shots with Emma Pratt registering a team-high two and Kate Nolan, Kat Thomsen and Claire Hook each firing a shot each. The hosts managed 22 shots with Emma Gaspari finishing with 12 saves.
The Cannoneers look to rebound with the first of four trips to the Keystone State to face Penn State-Abington on Saturday, September 7 in a non-conference test starting at 2 p.m.
