BRONX, N.Y. — The Pratt Institute women's soccer team dropped a 3-2 decision on the road to Lehman College on Tuesday afternoon.
Lehman (3-2) got on the board quickly scoring in the first minute of the contest but Pratt (3-5) maintaied a one-goal deficit at half.
After 30 minutes of play in the second stanza, Pratt found the equalizer as Vinona Dsilva scored her first collegiate goal. But the Lightning respsonded quickly regaining the lead a minute later and added an insurance goal in the 82nd minute for a 3-1 lead.
The Cannoneers pulled back again within one on Emma Pratt's fourth goal of the season with just over six minutes to play in regulation, but the black-and-gold couldn't find another equalizer.
Pratt finished with a 9-8 edge in shots with Claire Hook firing three and Emma Pratt and Dsilva firing a pair apiece. Savannah Depaz logged four saves in goal.
The Cannoneers' originally scheduled game on Tuesday, October 1 has been canceled. Pratt will have a one-and-a-half week layoff before returning to the pitch on Saturday, October 5 to host SUNY Delhi at Aviator Sports and Events Center. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
