HADDONFIELD, N.J. — The Pratt Institute women's soccer team collected two first-team selections and two second-team picks on the 2025 Atlantic East Women's Soccer All-Conference teams, and the program earned its first major award named Coaching Staff of the Year, the league office announced today..
Pratt was led by first-team honorees Kate Nolan (Perth, Australia) and Kat Thomsen (Palo Alto, Calif.). Nolan, a sophomore forward, delivered one of the nation's premier attacking seasons with 17 goals and 10 assists for 44 points. They ranked No. 2 in the nation in points per game (2.75), No. 6 in goals per game (1.06) and No. 9 in assists per game (0.63), while leading the Atlantic East in all three categories and in shots on goal per game (3.13). They also shared the conference lead in shots per game (5.13).
Thomsen's first-team nod marks her second straight All-AEC First Team honor and the third all-conference award of her career after earning All-Coast-to-Coast Second Team accolades as a rookie. The senior midfielder turned in a balanced campaign with 10 goals and seven assists, finishing among the league's top 10 in goals per game, assists per game and points per game (1.86), and ranking fourth in the conference in shots per game (4.07).
Two Cannoneers earned second-team recognition. Junior midfielder Emma Pratt (North Attleboro, Mass.) totaled eight goals and six assists and matched Nolan for the conference lead in shots per game (5.13). Pratt also ranked second in the league in shots on goal per game (2.81) and tied for third in total assists (six). First-year defender Josey Kanach (Washington, D.C.) was honored after an impactful debut, contributing five goals and helping anchor a back line for a group that posted seven clean sheets.
Head Coach Travis Blair, Assistant Coach Sophia Danyko-Kulchycky, and Volunteer Coach Hannah Gardner were named Coaching Staff of the Year after steering the side to an 8-6-2 mark – matching the program record for wins in a season – and earning their first AEC postseason tourment appearance as the No. 4 seed. They also guided one of Division III's most productive attacks scoring 72 goals (4.50 per match) and placing multiple student-athletes among national and conference leaders, including first-year forward Chloe Tien (Broomfield, Colo.), who finished with 12 goals and 28 points and ranked top five and six in the AEC in points and goals per game, respectively, and sophomore forward Alyssa Trujillo (Morrison, Colo.), who finished No. 2 in the conference in shot accuracy (.680).
The Atlantic East Conference awards are voted on by the league's eight head coaches.
