HADDONFIELD, N.J. — Pratt Institute junior forward Trey Phillips (Phoenix, Ariz.) has been selected as the Atlantic East Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday.
It is the first weekly accolade garnered by the men's basketball program for the 2025-26 season and the second for the program since joining the conference last season.
Phillips powered the Cannoneers to a 66-61 victory over neighborhood rival St. Joseph's-Brooklyn on Tuesday, snapping a 22-game losing streak in the series dating back to 2002. The junior posted a massive double-double with season-highs of 19 points and 15 rebounds, shooting 52.9 percent (9-of-17) from the floor. He dominated the defensive glass with 11 defensive boards and added a block in 34 minutes of action.
Phillips and the Cannoneers (4-2) look to build on a two-game streak tonight, hosting another borough foe, Brooklyn College, for a 7 p.m. tip-off at the Activity Resource Center.
