NEW YORK — The Pratt Institute women's track and field team opened its 2025-26 indoor season with several impressive performances at the TCNJ Indoor Open on Saturday at The Armory. First-year standout Melis Kavlicoglu (Reno, Nev.) led the way with a top-five finish in a competitive field of NCAA Division I, II, and III athletes.
Making her collegiate indoor debut, Kavlicoglu delivered the top result for the gold-and-black. She clocked a time of 1:41.49 in the 600-meter run to secure fifth place overall. Kavlicoglu also competed in the 300-meter dash, finishing in 45.28.
Two rookies also earned top-four placements in the unseeded 60-meter dash. Junior Kemi Ayeni (Stockbridge, Ga.) finished in third place, and junior Emma Pack (Elmira, N.Y.) took fourth — both crossing the line with an identical time of 8.76 seconds. Pack also ran the 300-meter dash, posting a time of 48.45.
Several other first-years made their Pratt debuts on the track. Sarah Godlewski (Plymouth, Mass.) competed in two events, running the 400-meter dash in 1:12.88 for a 12th-place finish and completing the 300-meter dash in 51.12. Milla Tenenblat (Hillsborough, Calif.) also ran the 400-meter dash, finishing in 1:26.85.
