Men’s Basketball’s Streak Halted by Immaculata

IMMACULATA, Pa. — Three Cannoneers finished scoring in double figures but the Pratt Institute men's basketball team saw its two-game winning streak snapped by an 80-60 defeat to Immaculata University in an Atlantic East Conference matchup on Thursday evening.

Thomas Graetz led Pratt (2-20, 2-8) with 12 points and a team-high six rebounds to go along with two assists. Reigning Atlantic East Player of the Week Cameron Windt added 11 points, five rebounds, four assists and a block. Mekhi Davis rounded out the trio in double figures with 10 points, five rebounds and two assists.

Pratt fell behind early but used a 15-4 run capped by five points by Hursh Mehta to build an 18-13 lead. The Mighty Macs (7-16, 2-8) would later assemble an 11-0 run to take the lead for good, moving ahead 27-21 with just under five minutes before intermission and extending their lead to 36-25 at the break.

Despite improving their connect rate in the second half, the Cannoneers were unable to bring the deficit back to single digits as the hosts shot 56 percent in the second stanza and finished shooting over 50 percent for the contest (30-for-59).

Mandon Seapoe scored 17 points to lead all scorers and four in double figures for Immaculata. John Proctor recorded a 14-point, 16-rebound double-double. Dylan Crews also added 14 points.

Pratt returns to the hardwood on Saturday, February 15 to face Neumann University for an Atlantic East tilt starting at 1 p.m.
