ASTON, Pa. — Ten different Cannoneers scored a basket but the Pratt Institute men's basketball team was handed a 92-59 defeat by Neumann University in Atlantic East Conference action on Saturday afternoon.
Mekhi Davis turned in his fifth straight game finishing in double-figure scoring posting 11 points, six rebounds and two asssts. Quinn McCormick turned in a near double-double with nine points and nine rebounds with a block. Justin Caver also added nine points, three rebounds and three assists off the bench. Cameron Windt netted seven points with three rebounds and an assist. Thomas Graetz chipped in six points, five rebounds and four assists.
Neumann (17-6, 8-2) used a 17-0 run spanning five minutes to break open a three-point game at 19-16 just past the midway point of the first half and they remained in control throughout shooting 45 percent for the game and committing just eight turnovers.
Donte Dupriest led the Knights with a 21-point, 15-rebounds double-double. TJ Lewis added 19 points and Gary Francis chipped in 10 for Neumann who moved into a three-way tie for first with the victory.
With the loss and the results of Saturday's games around the league, Pratt has been eliminated from AEC Tournament contention and will wrap up their season on Friday, February 21 against Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia, scheduled for a 7 p.m. tip.
