CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — The Pratt Institute men's volleyball team suffered a straight-set defeat 25-13, 25-13, 25-19, to Wilson College in United East Conference play on Saturday afternoon.
Jason Raymond led the Cannoneers (6-11, 0-5) with five kills, two blocks (both assisted), and an ace for a team-high seven points. Griffin Benkovszky logged four kills and four digs. Max Wang added three kills, a solo block and a team-high seven digs. Nathan Kim dished out 15 assists with three digs.
Wilson (11-12, 5-1) was led by Jacob McCoy's nine kills on .429 hitting. Demetrius Simmons added seven kills on .500 hitting. Satvik Sharma dished out 25 assists with two kills.
Pratt grabbed their first lead in the third stanza and built multiple two-point leads in the set and as late as 14-12 before the Phoenix used a 7-1 run to take the lead for good.
The Cannoneers return home for their next two home games, hosting Cairn University on Wednesday, March 26 for a 7 p.m. match at the Activity Resource Center.
