NEW YORK — The Pratt Institute improved to 2-2 on the season scoring seven times on each side of intermission during a 14-0 shutout of St. Joseph's University (Brooklyn) in a non-conference match on Tuesday afternoon at Randall's Island Field 10.
Seven different Cannoneers found the back in the lopsided victory over their Clinton Hill neighborhood foes.
Alyssa Trujillo recorded a first-half hat-trick and finished with a match-high four goals, including one assist. Emma Pratt played a part in five goals, scoring twice and assisting on three.
Josey Kanach also bagged her first collegiate brace, scoring twice with one assist, while Kate Nolan also finished with a brace and was credited with the game-winner.
Emma Gaspari and Esme Falk scored their first collegiate goals and Kat Thomsen also added a goal. Claire Hook dished out three assists and Chloe Tien also had one helper
Nolan opened the scoring eight minutes into the contest and Trujillo followed less than 1:30 later for a comfortable two-goal lead that swelled to four, 20 minutes in.
Pratt finished with a 45-0 shot discrepancy for the contest and 12-0 in corners.
The Cannoneers will look to improve above .500 for the first time this season, hosting Penn State Abington on Saturday, September 20 for a 2 p.m. kickoff at Randall's Island Field 10.
