BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Pratt Institute men's track and field team continued its indoor season on Saturday, competing at the Hounds Classic hosted by Moravian University. A personal-record performance from first-year Jarius Taylor highlighted the day for the Cannoneers.
Taylor (Rockville, Md.) put his continued improvement on display in the 60-meter dash, crossing the line in 7.75 seconds. The time marked a new personal best, eclipsing the 7.79 he ran in his collegiate debut last month. Taylor also competed in the 200-meter dash, finishing in 25.87.
In the 400-meter dash, sophomore William Stewart (Stuttgart, Germany) represented the gold-and-black, clocking a time of 1:01.13.
Junior Liam Reilly (East Setauket, N.Y.) handled the distance duties for Pratt, completing the one-mile run with a time of 5:31.38.
The Cannoneers will take a week off before returning to competition on Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Big Apple Invitational, held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, N.Y.
