BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Pratt Institute women's track and field team competed at the Moravian University Hounds Classic on Saturday, highlighted by a podium finish from first-year Melis Kavlicoglu and a personal record from sophomore Brooke Schreffler.
Kavlicoglu (Reno, Nev.) continued her impressive rookie season, claiming third place overall out of a field of 27 in the 800-meter run. She crossed the finish line in 2:29.15, securing the top finish of the day for the Cannoneers.
Schreffler (Harrisburg, Pa.) delivered a strong performance in the sprints, setting a new personal record in the 60-meter dash with a time of 9.06 seconds. She also competed in the 200-meter dash, finishing in 31.81.
Rounding out the day for the gold-and-black was first-year Milla Tenenblat (Hillsborough, Calif.), who ran the 400-meter dash in 1:32.49.
Pratt will return to Staten Island for its next meet, the Big Apple Invitational, on Saturday, Feb. 7 at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
