HADDONFIELD, N.J. — For the second time this season, Pratt Institute junior forward Trey Phillips (Phoenix, Ariz. / Brophy College Prep) has been selected as the Atlantic East Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the period ending January 4, 2026.
Phillips previously received the honor on December 1, 2025 in the fourth edition of the weekly honors.
The junior forward earned the award after a dominant performance in Pratt's lone game of the week, a 90-60 victory over Elms College to start the new year. Phillips recorded his fourth double-double of the season, leading the Cannoneers with 19 points and a game-high 12 rebounds in just 24 minutes of action.
He was highly efficient in the win, shooting 60 percent (9-of-15) from the field. He also anchored the defensive effort, adding two blocks and two steals as Pratt held Elms to just 33 percent shooting from the floor.
Winners of six of their last seven, Phillips and the Cannoneers (8-3) will open their Atlantic East Conference schedule on Wednesday, Jan. 7, hosting Gwynedd Mercy University at the Activity Resource Center in the second game of a doubleheader.
