Women's Basketball Stopped by Neumann in Road Test

ASTON, Pa. — The Pratt Institute women's basketball team fell to Neumann University, 60-33, in an Atlantic East Conference game on Wednesday evening at The Mirenda Center.

Neumann (7-15, 5-6 Atlantic East) used a strong first half to build a lead, jumping out to a 19-6 advantage after the first quarter and extending it to 37-18 by halftime. Pratt (1-18, 0-11 Atlantic East) battled on the boards all night, with two players recording double-digit rebounds.

Lola Mactavish (Sydney, Australia) led the Cannoneers with 13 points, playing all 40 minutes of the contest. Emily Carlson (Utica, N.Y.) was a force on the glass, pulling down a team-high 13 rebounds to go along with five points and two steals. Kylie Grant (Dallas, Texas) also had a strong rebounding night, finishing with 11 boards and seven points.

Dahlia Dimitrov (Montreal, Canada) contributed four points and a team-best two assists for the gold-and-black.

The Knights were led by 12 points and four assists from Emily DuPont. Neumann's bench played a significant role, contributing 31 points to the effort, with Taylor Hehnly adding seven points and Tessa Mullins scoring six.

Pratt remains on the road traveling to Arlington, Va. on Saturday, February 14 for a conference matchup against Marymount University. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. tip-off.
