Brock Lowers Mile Personal Best to Lead Men's Track & Field at NYU Invite

NEW YORK — The Pratt Institute men's track and field team returned to The Armory on Friday to compete at the NYU D3 Invitational, delivering a series of personal and season-best performances against a talented field.

First-year Jackson Brock (Vicenza, Italy) turned in a standout performance in the mile run, shaving more than five seconds off his previous best to set a new personal record of 5:28.83.

The meet marked the 2025-26 season debut for graduate student Anthony Cowell (Boulder, Colo.). Competing in the 800-meter run, Cowell crossed the finish line in 2:21.28 to lead the Cannoneers in the event.

In the sprints, junior Anyadire Erima (Brooklyn, N.Y.) recorded a personal-best time of 26.92 in the 200-meter dash. He also represented the gold-and-black in the 60-meter dash, finishing in 8.18.

The gold-and-black will close out the indoor season back at The Armory for the Last Chance Invite on Friday, Feb. 20.
