STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Pratt Institute women's track and field team concluded its indoor season on a high note Friday, setting several personal and season-best marks at the Fasttrack Last Chance meet at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
First-year Melis Kavlicoglu (Reno, Nev.) capped her outstanding debut season with a third-place finish in the 800-meter run. She posted a remarkable personal-best time of 2:20.99, shaving more than eight seconds off her previous record.
The sprinters also finished the season with their best performances. Sophomore Brooke Schreffler (Harrisburg, Pa.) set a new personal record in the 60-meter dash for the fourth consecutive meet, clocking in at 8.84 seconds and also setting a personal best in the 200-meter dash in 29.65.Â
Junior Kemi Ayeni (Stockbridge, Ga.) ran a season-best 28.91 in the 200-meter dash and also competed in the 400-meter dash, finishing in 1:08.24. First-year Milla Tenenblat (Hillsborough, Calif.) ran the 400-meter dash for the gold-and-black, posting a time of 1:29.64.
