NEW YORK — The Pratt Institute men's soccer team rallied for a 1-1 draw against Keystone College on Tuesday at Randall's Island, erasing a one-goal, second-half deficit with a goal from Lucca Novi (The Woodlands, Texas).

Keystone (0-3-1) dominated the shot count in the first half, out-shooting Pratt (1-1-1) 11-3, but goalkeeper Hayden Pettit (Houston, Texas) kept the match scoreless before the break. Pratt came alive after halftime, producing 12 shots to Keystone's 10, while the visitors finished with a 21-15 advantage in shots for the match overall. It was Pratt's first tie of the season.

Keystone broke through in the 65th minute, when Joel Calle scored off a corner kick, heading in a service by Marcos Louzada, to make it 1-0. 

Less than four minutes later, in the 69th minute, Novi answered. Alexander Litzenberger (Asheville, N.C.) provided the assist as Novi remained onside and volleyed in the feed to tie the score at 1-1, a scoreline that held for the remainder of regulation. It was Novi's second goal of the season.

Pettit turned away all five shots on goal from Christiano Richards, stopping every attempt the Keystone midfielder sent on frame. The sophomore goalkeeper finished with nine saves in the draw, keeping Pratt within reach through a lopsided shot count. James Kallens matched him at the other end, stopping shots from Litzenberger in the 15th minute and from Dylan Costa (Cresskill, N.J.) and Dylan Knott (Albany, Calif.) early in the second half before Novi finally beat him.

Costa led Pratt with three shots, one on goal. Knott and Griffin Benkovszky (Ashland, Va.) each put up two shots, and Aditya Shivkumar (Bombay, India) also finished with two attempts. Pavel Emam (Arlington, Va.) and Nicco Prada (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) each had a shot as well, while Litzenberger added a second shot on goal to go with his assist.

Richards led all players with five shots on goal. Calle's goal was his first of the season, and Kallens finished with five saves for Keystone.

Keystone held a 10-6 edge in shots on goal, while the two teams were even in corner kicks, 7-7.

Pratt returns to action Monday, Sept. 14, hosting Clinton Hill foes, St. Joseph's University, New York, at 7:30 p.m. at Randall's Island Field 10.
