DOYLESTOWN, PA -
Mac Sloan Anderson (Shelburne Falls, MA) and
Chloe Morris (Bethlehem Township, NJ) ran to their first individual wins as the Pratt men's and women's cross country teams were victorious at the Aggies Open hosted by Delaware Valley University on Saturday.
With a score of 29, the men's squad earned its first win of 2019. Sloan Anderson dominated in the 8k, running in a time of 28:36.3, over two minutes faster than second place.
Max Yokoo (Oak Park, IL) ran to a career best third place finish in a time of 31:48.9.
Dylan Cabral (Watchung, NJ) and
Daniel Bhopaul (Hollis, NY) earned top ten finishes for the Cannoneers.
Bruce Westgate (Belmont, NY) 10th place and
Nick Busigo (Queens, NY) 14th place rounded out the placing for Pratt.
The women's team also found the winners circle with a score of 44 points. Morris picked up her first individual title, finishing the 6k in a time of 25:24.6, 30 seconds quicker than second place.
Peg Smith (Littleton, CO) earned a season's best third place finish, finishing in a time of 26:27.1.
Lauren Walker (New Orleans, LA) earned her best career finish, running in a time of 26:58.5.
Ariana Calos (Richmond, VA) 12th place and
Lisa Barber (Morristown, NJ) 24th place finished fourth and fifth for the Cannoneers.
