Box Score BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Pratt Institute women's tennis team turned in a dominant performance surrendering just three games in a 9-0 sweep of Sarah Lawrence College on Sunday afternoon at the USTA National Tennis Center.
With the victory, the Cannoneers open their 2022-23 campaign with their seventh straight victory with one more match left in the fall portion of their schedule.
Pratt won all three doubles matches at love with Sophie Bischoff and Nastazja Cancellaro teaming up at No. 1, Ariana Castro and Shannon Bollin joining at No. 2, and Julia Ognibene and Victoria Delgado pairing up at No. 3.
Cancellaro, Bollin and Delgado all assembled 6-0, 6-0 wins at singles in the No. 2, No. 5, and No. 6 positions, respectively.
Bischoff was triumphant 6-1, 6-0 in the top singles match with Ognibene winning by the same line score at No. 4 and Castro winning 6-0, 6-1 at the No. 3 spot.
Pratt will try to carry an unblemished record into the spring season, facing defending CUNYAC champion Baruch College on Thursday, October 20 at the USTA National Tennis Center starting at 6:30 p.m.
