BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, were announced earlier today. Pratt Institute junior Daniel Golub and senior Kinako Miyake were both honored and are the first in their programs' histories to receive the award.
The program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom with four divisions - NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA - garnering accolades.
Golub was the only Cannoneer to start in all 25 games and averaged 7.2 points (fourth on the team) and 5.6 rebounds (second on the team). Named to the President's List all five semester at Pratt, he scored in double figures seven times this season, highlighted with 15 points against Purchase, and recorded his sixth collegiate double-double against Hunter.
Miyake wrapped up her career for the women's basketball team last week averaging 9.8 points a game, second on the squad. The three-time President's List and three-time Dean's List honoree highlighted her four-year career erupting for a career-high 26 points sinking eight three-pointers on 50 percent shooting against Old Westbury two weeks ago.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid-March.
