LANCASTER, Pa. — Pratt Institute sophomore Max Wang has been selected as the Atlantic East Conference Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, February 18, announced by the league office yesterday.
Wang led the Cannoneers with 28 kills (2.15/set) over a four-match stretch last week, also collecting six aces, 28 digs and three blocks (one solo). In Pratt's straight-set win over Yeshiva on Monday, he slammed nine kills on .211 hitting. Against an 11-1 King's (PA) squad on Sunday, the second-year outside hitter also put away nine kills with six digs and an ace.
The Atlantic East accolade is the second for the Cannoneers this season with Jason Raymond receiving the honor on February 5.
Pratt travels to Long Island on Saturday, February 24 for a tri-match hosted by SUNY Old Westbury with Brooklyn College starting at 10 a.m.
