First-year Melis Kavlicoglu (Reno, Nev.) led the gold-and-black with a 17th-place finish in 25:11.8. Kavlicoglu averaged 6:46 per mile and crossed the 4.35k split in 17:43.7 before closing inside the top 20 in a field of more than 150 runners.
Senior Giovanna Lisa (Reading, Pa.) followed in 57th at 26:30.1, moving steadily through the middle of the race. Senior Kathleen Chen (Livingston, N.J.) rounded out Pratt's entrants, placing 125th in 31:49.0.
Penn State Club XC captured the team title with 25 points behind individual winner Nevaya Carr, who broke the tape in 22:53.4. Johns Hopkins was runner-up with 37 points, paced by first-year Hanna Bruno in 23:52.5 and a tight scoring pack.
The Cannoneers return to racing at the Atlantic East Conference Championship hosted by Pratt at the Hudson Valley Sportsdome on Saturday, Nov. 1.
