MILTON, N.Y. — The Pratt Institute women's cross country team finished fifth with 109 points at the 2025 Atlantic East Conference Championship on Saturday at the Hudson Valley Sportsdome in Milton, N.Y.
First-year Melis Kavlicoglu (Reno, Nev.) paced Pratt in sixth place in 27:13.5, a performance that earned AEC Rookie of the Year and First Team All-Conference honors. Kavlicoglu settled into the lead pack early and held position to secure a top-10 finish in her conference debut.
Senior Giovanna Lisa (Reading, Pa.) added a top-15 result, placing 15th in 29:12.4. Senior Kathleen Chen (Livingston, N.J.) was 26th in 32:57.6. First-year Quinn Steinman (Greendale, Wisc.) checked in 40th at 40:43.5, and junior Finn Powell (Broadlands, Va.) capped the scoring in 42nd at 43:09.6 as the gold-and-black locked up fifth.
Marymount (Va.) won the team title with 28 points, led by Brier Amerlinck (second, 26:03.7), Abby Hughes (third, 26:38.1) and Madeleine Pare (fourth, 26:42.9). Immaculata's Aubrey Donahue claimed the individual crown in 25:03.4 to pace the Mighty Macs to second place with 58 points. Marywood was third with 72, and Gwynedd-Mercy finished fourth with 101.
Pratt sets its sights toward the NCAA Metro Regional Championships in two weeks, returning to Dream Park in Logan Township, N.J. on Saturday, Nov. 15.
