BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Led by Alyssa Trujillo's (Morrison, Colo.) and Chloe Tien's (Broomfield, Colo.) 1-2 finish, the Pratt Institute women's cross country team earned a 20-35 dual-meet win over Centenary University (N.J.) on Saturday morning at Prospect Park.
Sophomore Trujillo broke the tape in 13:07 over 3,000 meters to pace the black-and-gold. First-year Tien was close behind in second at 13:14 to give Pratt a 1-2 start it never relinquished.
First-year Josey Kanach (Washington, D.C.) took fourth in 14:01, and sophomore Claire Hook (Portsmouth, R.I.) placed sixth in 14:19. Senior Emma Gaspari (Naperville, Ill.) closed the scoring in seventh at 16:01 as the Cannoneers put five runners in the top seven.
Centenary was led by senior Juanita Franco in third at 13:26, while Taylor Fallon finished fifth in 14:04.
Pratt returns to action Saturday, Nov. 15 at the NCAA Metro Regional at Dream Park in Logan Township, N.J.
