LATHAM, N.Y. — Helping the Cannoneers to a 2-0 week with his play at the net, senior Wallace Hallot has been selected as the United East Conference men's volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending February 9th, announced by the league office this afternoon.
Wallace totaled 10 blocks (three solo) over a pair of victories over York College and City College of New York last week. He matched his career-high four total blocks (two solo) in a four-set, come-from-behind road win over York last Tuesday. The senior middle capped off his week setting a new career-high with six blocks (one solo) in a straight-set win over CCNY at home last Thursday.
It is the first weekly honor for Hallot and a Cannoneer this season from the United East Conference.
Pratt travels to SUNY College at Old Westbury on Thursday, February 13 for a road test starting at 7 p.m.
