HADDONFIELD, N.J. — The Pratt Institute men's and women's cross country teams were honored with Atlantic East Conference Fall Team Academic Awards, as announced by the league office on Wednesday. The Cannoneers were recognized for posting the highest team grade-point averages in their respective sports for the fall semester.
The Pratt women's team earned the honor after posting a collective 3.77 GPA, the highest among all women's cross country programs in the conference. The men's team secured its award with a 3.61 GPA, also the top mark in the league for the sport.
Pratt was one of three institutions to receive fall honors. Immaculata University was recognized in men's soccer (3.59) and women's volleyball (3.58), while Marywood University earned awards in field hockey (3.48) and women's soccer (3.68).
The Team Academic Award is given to the program with the highest GPA in its sport during its primary semester of competition. The awards for winter and spring sports will be announced following the conclusion of the spring semester.
