Agarwal Captures Atlantic East Player of the Week Honor

HADDONFIELD, N.J. — After a nearly flawless performance over the weekend, Pratt Institute women's tennis senior Srishti Agarwal (Gurugram, India) was named the Atlantic East Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the first time in her career, the league office announced on Monday.

Agarwal dropped just one game across two matches to help the Cannoneers secure a 7-0 road sweep of Immaculata University on Saturday. The senior stepped into the top doubles flight alongside junior Pallavi Verghese (Fayetteville, Ark.) to claim a swift 6-1 victory and set an early tone for the black-and-gold.

Transitioning to singles action, Agarwal delivered a dominant 6-0, 6-0 double-bagel triumph at the No. 2 spot. Her efficient play helped keep Pratt unblemished on the season, improving the squad to a perfect 7-0 overall and 2-0 in league play.

The accolade marks the fourth weekly conference award for the Cannoneers this season, adding to three previous nods earned by Verghese.

Pratt returns to the courts on Thursday, April 2, hosting Marywood University for its home spring opener at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
