Song Selected as Atlantic East Player of the Week

HADDONFIELD, N.J. — Pratt Institute women's tennis first-year Judith Song (Sharon, Mass.) was named the Atlantic East Conference Player of the Week for the first time in her career, the league office announced on Monday.

The accolade marks the sixth weekly conference honor of the season for the Cannoneers, highlighting an undefeated 9-0 campaign thus far.

Song stepped into the No. 2 position of the linue for the first time and delivered a pair of crucial victories during a 6-1 home triumph over Baruch College on Saturday. Partnering with junior Pallavi Verghese (Fayetteville, Ark.) in the top doubles flight for the first time this season, Song helped complete the team doubles sweep with a hard-fought 7-5 win.

The first-year carried that momentum into singles action against the Bearcats. Competing at the No. 2 spot, Song battled to a straight-set 6-4, 6-3 victory to cap off an unblemished afternoon on the courts.

Pratt closes out the regular season and looks to lock up the No. 1 seed for the 2026 Atlantic East Conference Championship hosting Marymount University on Saturday, April 18 at 12 p.m. at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
