EASTCHESTER, N.Y. — The Pratt Institute men's golf team hosted a double dual match on Thursday morning at Leewood Golf Club, carding a four-player aggregate score of 452 (+172) against Manhattanville University and the University of Mount Saint Vincent.
In head-to-head team scoring on the par-70, 6,180-yard layout, Manhattanville defeated Pratt 359-452 and topped Mount Saint Vincent 359-399. Mount Saint Vincent also earned a dual victory over the Cannoneers, 399-452. Manhattanville's Tyler Rolston captured individual medalist honors with a 13-over-par 83.
Junior Gauthama Thiruvengadam (Chennai, India) led Pratt on the individual leaderboard, tying for fourth place in the 15-golfer field with a 25-over-par 95. Thiruvengadam navigated the front nine in 8-over 43 before closing with a 52 on the inward half to match Manhattanville's Brandon Paluszak for a share of fourth.
Senior Dylan Costa (Cresskill, N.J.) was the next finisher for the Cannoneers, securing 12th place with a 42-over-par 112. Costa recorded a 55 on the front nine and added a 57 on the back nine.
Sophomore Lawton Tucker-Ortega (Denver, Colo.) posted a 51-over-par 121 to finish in 14th place. Fifth-year Emma Gaspari (Naperville, Ill.) rounded out Pratt's lineup in 15th place, carding a 124.
Pratt welcomes Mount Saint Vincent and Purchase College to Leewood Golf Club for another home double dual match on Thursday, October 1 at 10 a.m.
