KINGS PARK, NY - The Pratt Institute's men's and women's cross country team took part in the SJC Invitational hosted by Saint Joseph's Long Island on Saturday afternoon.
The men's team ran to a fourth place finish out of 23 qualifying schools. Â Pratt finished with 185 points and was second out of the Division III schools.
Paden Spencer had the top time for Division III runners and the fifth fastest time overall, running the 8k in 28:42.79. Â
Thomas Perrone had a 14th place overall finish in a time of 29:49.33
The women's team ran to a 5th place finish out of 15 qualifying schools.  The Cannoneers finished with 158 points and also finished in second place out of Division III schools.
Lauren Walker paced the way for Pratt, finishing in 17th place overall in sixth for Division III runners in a time of 21:38.31 in the 5k.
Christina Sancho-Spore and
Giovanna Lisa finished 35th and 36th positions, running in times of 23:15.74 and 23:23.26, respectively.Â
Pratt returns to action on October 30 when it travels to California to run in the C2C Championships hosted by UC Santa Cruz.
