LOGAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. — The Pratt Institute men's cross country team placed 20th with 571 points at the Border Battle Open 8K hosted by Rowan University at Dream Park on Saturday afternoon.
Liam Reilly (East Setauket, N.Y.) led the Cannoneers in 31:18.4 for 138th overall, a personal-best mark.
First-year Jackson Brock (Vicenza, Italy) followed in 33:29.7 for 174th, with classmate Mingyi Chen (Short Hills, N.J.) close behind at 33:44.1 for 178th as the gold-and-black's top three came through within 2:26.
William Stewart (Stuttgart, Germany) posted a personal-best 38:42.0 for 202nd, and Davyen Garrett (Hasbrouck Heights, N.J.) rounded out Pratt's scoring in 48:10.4 for 214th.
Penn State Club XC won the team title with 31 points. RUXC Alumni's Joshua Cason captured the individual crown in 25:41.2.
The Cannoneers return to racing at the Atlantic East Conference Championship hosted by Pratt at the Hudson Valley Sportsdome on Saturday, Nov. 1.
