LATHAM, N.Y. — Pratt Institute junior Brooks Reid has been named to the United East Conference Men's Volleyball All-Conference Third Team, announced by the league office on Wednesday.
Throughout an outstanding junior campaign, Reid led the Cannoneers attack registering a team-leading 160 kills (2.29 kills per set). His also totaled 51 assists (second on the team), 20 service aces (fourth on the team), 112 digs (third on the team), and 12 blocks (fourth on the team).
Reid's season was highlighted against St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) on February 27, where he registered a career-high 17 kills along with eight digs and a service ace to help Pratt secure a 3-1 victory. The junior also logged a then-career-best 16 kills against Yeshiva University on February 12, hitting at a .150 percentage, along with two aces and seven digs, driving Pratt to a straight-set win.Reid finished with double-digit kills in nine matches during the season
Named to the All-Sportsmanship Team last year, the All-Conference honor is the first in Reid's career and the third by a Cannoneer in the last four seasons. The United East All-Conference Teams are selected by the league's nine head coaches.
