In singles play, Liu extended Pratt's advantage to 2-0 with a dominating performance at the No. 2 spot, winning in straight sets, 6-1, 6-3. The momentum shifted in the hosts favor, however, as Pratt fell behind early in four other matches and couldn't recover..
Zhang fell 6-0, 7-5 at third singles, and John Cherry fell on court five, 6-4, 6-3, leveling the contest at 2-2. Urbi took control of his match early, but was upended in a three-set battle in the top singles match, 4-6, 6-4, 7-5, putting Pratt on the brink of elimination with two matches undecided.
Nathan Park rallied after dropping his opening set to force a third set, but was in a 3-3 deadlock when Neumann secured the decisive point at No. 6 singles as Tillinghast fell, 6-4, 6-4.
With the loss, Pratt completes their season with an 8-6 overall record, while Neumann advances to the Atlantic East Conference divisional final to face top-seeded Marymount University..
