GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. — Kaeden Green and Hannah Kim were three-time medalists as the Pratt Institute women's track and field team finished on the podium in eight events and claimed third place in their first Atlantic East Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday and Sunday at Gwynedd Mercy University. The men finished in sixth place overall.
Green earned the lone gold medal for the Cannoneers on the weekend in the triple jump with a mark of 10.99 meters and added silver medal honors in the long jump with a leap of 5.15 meters. Green was part of the silver-medal winning 4x100 quartet comprised of Kate Nolan, Green, Kayla Galvan and Siena Sujitno, that clocked in a 52.53.
Kim collected a silver and two bronzes in the throwing events earning second in the discus with a toss of 38.52 meters and third in the shot put in 10.27 meters and in the javelin in 31.85 meters.
Sujitno added to her relay medal with a bronze in the 100-meter run in 13.08 while Brooke Schreffler also claimed third in the 100-meter hurdles in 18.63.
Giovanna Lisa added fourth-place points in the 3000-meter steeplechase 13:40.26 and sixth-place points in the 1500-meter in 5:30.82. Nolan qualified for the 200-meter finals and nabbed fifth place in 28.00.
For the men, William Stewart was the top point collector with a sixth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:06.72. Soren Ekstrom tossed 8.91 meters in the shot put for 11th. Chris DeGaetano finished in 12th in the 400-meter in 56.03.
Marymount University won the women's championship while Marywood University claimed the men's team title.
