EASTCHESTER, N.Y. — Continuing its inaugural season, the Pratt Institute men's golf team hosted a double dual match at Leewood Golf Club, finishing behind Yeshiva University and SUNY Purchase with a team score of 437 on Tuesday morning. Yeshiva claimed a pair of wins with a score of 344, while Purchase split the matches with a team score of 410.
Leading the Cannoneers on the 6,180-yard, par-70 course, Anirudh Bharath (Pune, India) carded a team-best 93 to secure a sixth-place overall.
Sophomore Gauthama Thiruvengadam (Chennai, India) added a second top-10 result for Pratt. He navigated the challenging layout to post a 107, ninth overall.
Stepping into the lineup for the first time this season, senior Joseph Magenta (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and senior Lucas Zamboni (Clark, N.J.) rounded out the scoring for the squad. Magenta finished in 11th place with a 117, while Zamboni tallied a 120 to tie for 13th.
Yeshiva was paced by Pinny Ehrenfeld, who navigated the fairways with a five-over-par 75 to lead all golfers. Christian Miesegas led Purchase with a 19-over-par 89.
Pratt returns to Leewood Golf Club tomorrow, April 22 for a match play dual against Purchase starting at 1 pm.
