HADDONFIELD, N.J. — The Pratt Institute women's soccer team has been picked to finish second in the 2026 Atlantic East Conference preseason coaches' poll, the league office announced.
The Cannoneers collected 18 points in the six-team poll, trailing only reigning conference champion Marymount University, which earned 25 points and five of the six first-place votes.
Pratt returns a roster led by head coach Travis Blair and a staff that was named the Atlantic East Coaching Staff of the Year in 2025 and finished in a program-high fourth place. The second place prediction is the highest since joining the league.
Gwynedd Mercy, the 2025 Atlantic East Championship runner-up, finished third with 17 points, narrowly ahead of Immaculata, which received 16 points and the poll's remaining first-place vote. Centenary placed fifth with nine points, and Saint Elizabeth rounded out the field with five.
Pratt opens their 15-match campaign on Tuesday, September 1 with a road test at SUNY Maritime. The Cannoneers open Atlantic East action at home against Gwynedd Mercy on Saturday, Oct. 3, the first of seven conference tests this season.Â
The 2026 Atlantic East Championship begins with quarterfinal play Saturday, Oct. 31, followed by semifinals Wednesday, Nov. 4. The championship match, hosted by the highest remaining seed, is set for Saturday, Nov. 7.
