Abington, PA - The Pratt Institute's men's and women's cross country teams each placed second for the second straight week at the Penn State Abington Invitational on Saturday morning.
For the second time in as many meets,
Paden Spencer earned the individual win on the men's side, running the 8k in a time of 28:33.3. Â Finishing just 20 seconds behind,
Thomas Perrone ran to his best finishing in second place.Â
As a team, the Cannoneers finished second overall for the second straight meet with 70 points.  Ursinus College won the meet with 39 points.
On the women's side, for the second straight meet,
Lauren Walker had the top time for Pratt, finishing in 6th place in a time of 23:18.2. Â
Christina Sancho-Spore added a 9th place finish, running in a time of 23:54.4.
Pratt finished with 93 points, good enough for its second straight second place finish. Â Ursinus College also won the women's event with 17 points.
The Cannoneers return top action on Saturday when it takes part in the NJIT Invitational.
