HADDONFIELD, N.J. — Pratt Institute junior Liam Reilly has been selected as the Atlantic East Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Reilly, a native of East Setauket, N.Y., turned in a strong individual performance at the Queensborough Invitational, traversing the 8-kilometer course in 35:00.7. He averaged a 7:02.5 mile pace en route to a 46th-place finish out of 161 runners, helping the Cannoneers secure a ninth-place team result in a competitive field.
The honor marks Reilly's first career Atlantic East weekly accolade and is the second weekly award in men's cross country program history following Justin Cai's selection last year.
The Cannoneers are scheduled to return to racing at the Cairn Highlander Invitational this Saturday.
