QUEENS, N.Y. — The Pratt Institute men's tennis team cruised to a 6-1, non-conference triumph over Atlantic East Conference foes Marywood University on Saturday afternoon at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
Mikah Liu dropped just one game on the afternoon leading the lineup. He teamed up with Shrenik Mahaveer to win at love, 6-0, at No. 1 doubles and took a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles.
Caleb Callahan and Brian Duval secured a 6-3 win at No. 2 pairs to clinch the doubles point and Callahan went on to win 6-0, 7-6 (4) at No. 2 singles, while Duval was victorious 6-2, 6-4 at No. 5 singles.
Johnny Xie collected a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles and Saddqa Bahidrah prevailed 6-3, 6-4 in the No. 6 spot.
Winners of two in a row and back to .500, Pratt (2-2) travels to the Garden State for a non-conference, double-dual match with Drew University and FDU-Florham starting at noon.
