PURCHASE, N.Y. — Despite a pair of wins from Nathan Park and John Cherry, the Pratt Institute men's tennis team fell 4-3 to Manhattanville University in a non-conference road match on Saturday afternoon.
Park and Cherry teamed up for a 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles, but the Valiants (1-1) earned the doubles point, taking the No. 1 and No. 3 matches.
Cherry cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 5 singles while Park prevailed 6-2, 6-4 in the No. 4 position. Caleb Callahan collected a come-from-behind 5-7, 6-1, 1-0 (10-6) victory at No. 6 singles.
The Valiants clinched the match posting the first three points in the singles session.
Pratt (0-2) travels to borough foes Brooklyn College on Friday, October 11 for a non-conference match starting at 1 p.m.
