Track & Field Collects Five Top 10 Finishes at TCNJ Indoor Opener

NEW YORK — The Pratt Institute indoor track and field teams commenced their 2024-25 campaign at The College of New Jersey Indoor Opener on Saturday evening at The Armory.

Hannah Kim tossed 10.15 meters in the shot put and 9.86 meters in the weight throw to take sixth and eighth place, respectively. Jordana Halpern hurled 9.61 meters in the shot and 9.07 meters in the weight throw for eighth and ninth in her first collegiate meet.

Also competing in her first collegiate meet, Kate Nolan lept 4.78 meters in the long jump for ninth place.

Sarah Cawley and Alyssa Trujillo took 10th and 11th place in the 600 meter with times of 1:55.42 and 1:56.33. Siena Sujitno clocked in at 8.14 in the 60-meter dash to finish in 16th. Kathleen Chen nabbed 18th in the 1000 meter with a time of 4:14.07.

Justin Cai had the highest placing the the men in seventh in the 5000 meter in 18:35.29 in his first collegiate indoor meet. Jesus Nunez-Del Cuadro collected a 10th-place finish in the 600 meter in 1:51.33. Henry Domst too 17th in the 400 meter in 1:21.48.

The Cannoneers return to competition in the new year at the Ramapo Season Opener on Friday, January 17th at the Armory.
