GREENVALE, N.Y. — The Pratt Institute equestrian team closed its fall schedule at Long Island University's IHSA Horse Show on Sunday at North Shore Equestrian Center, placing seventh and moving to sixth in the regional standings.
Audrey Flatt (Nashville, Tenn.) won Intermediate Equitation on the Flat to qualify for IHSA Regionals in that class and will advance to Open on the Flat for the spring.
Co-captain Grace Plunkett (Los Angeles, Calif.) earned second in both Open Equitation over Fences and Open Equitation on the Flat to anchor the Cannoneers at the top level.
Co-captain Alin Kutan (Istanbul, Turkey) added third in Open over Fences and fourth on the Flat, while Katie McVeigh (San Diego, Calif.) scored fifth over Fences and fourth on the Flat in Intermediate .
Pratt continued to collect points throughout the divisions. Leilani Hamilton (Queens Village, N.Y.) placed third in Novice, and Aahan Pradhan (Gurgaon, India) finished fourth in Novice. Paty Garcia (El Paso, Texas) earned fourth in Pre-Novice, Sophia Potorti (Brooklyn, N.Y.) took second in Introductory, and Vedika Chauhan (Vadodara, Gujarat) placed fourth in Introductory.
Pratt returns to action on Sunday, March 1, hosting its home show at the Jamaica Bay Riding Academy.
